The Spoken and Unspoken Realities

SETH said (paraphrased):  The universe expands… as an idea expands; and as sentences are built upon words… and paragraphs upon sentences, and each retains its own logic and continuity and evidence within that framework, so do all portions of the universe appear to to you with that same cohesiveness,  A sentence is meaningful because of the organization of its letters, vowels, syllables.  It makes sense, however, not only because of the letters or vowels or syllables that are used within it, but because of all the letters, vowels, or syllables it excludes.  The same applies to your universe.  It has meaning, coherence and order not only because of those realities that are obvious to you but also because of those inner realities that are "unspoken" or hidden.

The Light of Deity

Plato asserted that in all things there is one truth, that is the light of the One itself, the light of Deity, which is poured into all minds and forms, presenting the forms to the minds and joining the minds to the forms. Whoever wishes to profess the study of Plato should therefore honour the one truth, which is the single ray of the one Deity. This ray passes through angels, souls, the heavens and other bodies ... its splendour shines in every individual thing according to its nature and is called grace and beauty; and where it shines more clearly, it especially attracts the man who is watching, stimulates him who thinks, and catches and possesses him who draws near to it. This ray compels him to revere its splendour more than all else, as if it were a divine spirit, and, once his former nature has been cast aside, to strive for nothing else but to become this splendour.

The Point and the Circle

As long as spirit does not enter matter to bring it to life, matter remains inert, formless. Spirit can be symbolized by a point, and matter by a circle around this point. Cosmic Intelligence has placed this figure, the circle with a central point, everywhere: in fruit, where the flesh surrounds the stone or pips; in eyes; on certain parts of men’s and women’s anatomy; it even matches the structure of the cell, of the atom and of the solar system…

You will see this symbol everywhere. All of life, all of creation, is contained in the symbol of the circle, with its central point, cosmic Spirit, giving life to the universe. Initiates, who have understood the power of this symbol, seek only to possess this point – the spirit – within themselves. And each of us, too, is a circle that must seek this central point, the Holy Spirit.

As long as we are still a circle without a point, we will remain in confusion, in a vacuum, in chaos. But as soon as this point, the Spirit, comes to settle within us to bring us life and light, we shall find fulfilment and become creators.

Look Intelligently

Learn to look intelligently into the hearts of men.
Intelligence is impartial; no man is your enemy; no man is your friend.
All alike are your teachers.
Your enemy becomes a mystery that must be solved, even though it takes ages; for man must be understood.
Your friend becomes a part of yourself, an extension of yourself, a riddle hard to read.
Only one thing is more difficult to know - your own heart.

Grand Instrument

"Learn to regard the souls around you as parts of some grand instrument. It is for each of us to know the keys and stops, that we may draw forth the harmonies that lie sleeping in the silent octaves.   ~Anonymous

They Are Not You

"You might experience discomfort, fear, hurt, various negative feelings. These are the things that you're trying to avoid by not being here. But they are just accumulations of what has been swept under the rug of unconsciousness; they are not you."

Remember that the sin and shame of the world
are your sin and shame;
for you are a part of it;
your karma is inextricably interwoven
with the great karma.

... once that a student abandons the old trodden highway of routine, and enters upon the solitary path of independent thought - Godward - he is a Theosophist, an original thinker, a seeker after the eternal truth, with 'an inspiration of his own' to solve the universal problems.

H.P. Blavatsky Col. Wr. II, p. 102

The Vortex of Destiny

We are drawn, Lady, into the vortex of the destiny prepared previously by ourselves for ourselves, as the ship in the Maelstrom. You now begin to realize this. What shall you do? You cannot successfully resist fate. Are you ready to do your part in the great work of philanthropy? You have offered yourself for the Red Cross; but, Sister, there are sicknesses and wounds of the Soul that no Surgeon's art can cure. Shall you help us teach mankind that the soul-sick must heal themselves? Your action will be your response.

Don't Take Any Detours

“If you let people break your spirit and detour you from your path, then you have not been true to yourself or those you're here to touch, those who believe in you.”

Truth is a Mountain

We may liken truth to a mountain, and the various interpretations of that truth to different paths leading up to the summit. Many people are traveling along all of these paths and every one, while he is at the bottom, thinks his path is the only one; he sees only a small part of the mountain, and may therefore be justified in crying to his brothers, “You are wrong! Come over to my path; this is the only one that leads to the top.” But as all these people progress upward, they will see that the paths converge at the top and that they are all one in the ultimate.

Base Yourself on Right Philosophy

If you are not well‑balanced and physically purified, you will often get thoughts that are not correct. Such is your Karma and the Karma of the race. But if you are sincere and try to base yourself on right philosophy, your mind will naturally reject wrong notions. You can see in this how it is that systems of thought are made and kept going, even though foolish, incorrect, or pernicious. When the Light is Near and Dear

Truly it is in the darkness
that one finds the light, so
  when we are in sorrow,
then this light is nearest of
        all to us.

The Act of Reflection

When the act of reflection takes place in the mind, when we look at ourselves in the light of thought, we discover that our life is embosomed in beauty.
